Where to find documents and how to order copies
The National Long Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center (NORC) has a wide variety of products available that are organized in this document and on the website in four categories:
● Program Management,
● Training,
● Program Promotion, and
● Systemic Advocacy
Many products in one section may also provide valuable resources for other ombudsman functions. For example, the Resource Brief on PPS (listed under systemic advocacy) is also an excellent training tool. Key documents that may be found on the website (http:// www.ltcombudsman.org) are noted. The list below indicates how to obtain copies of specific documents from the following sources:
● NORC: 202.332.2275; ww.ltcombudsman.org
● NCCNHR: 202.332.2275; www.nccnhr.org
● NASUA: 202.898.2578; www.nasua.org
In addition to the products listed, the Center attempts to maintain copies of significant materials from all state ombudsman programs and some local programs as well. Detailed short Best Practices from local and state programs are available on the website or in hard copy. Weekly Gazettes with current long-term care information are e-mailed to the ombudsman network and placed on the website.
The products noted in this document as “NORC” were supported, in part, by the Administration on Aging Grant No. 90AM2690, Department of Health and Human Services. Grantees undertaking projects under government sponsorship are encouraged to express freely their findings and conclusions. Points of view or opinions do not, therefore, necessarily represent official Administration on Aging Policy.
One of the Center’s primary tasks is to help ombudsman programs obtain the resources that will be helpful, so please contact us with any questions and suggestions.
