2007 Annual Report, GA. This report provides data reflecting the many ways local long-term care ombudsmen assisted the residents of nursing home, personal care homes, community living arrangements, and intermediate care facilities in Fiscal Year 2007.
2006 Vermont Ombudsman Project Annual Report. This past year, the Vermont Long Term Care Ombudsman Project, held a creative writing challenge for Vermonters living in long term care facilities. The theme of the challenge was “CARE Matters.” (Choice, Accountability, Rights and Empowerment.) These essays and poems reflect a wide range of perspectives and experiences and they help us understand what CARE means to residents and why it matters to them. In 2005, the Wisconsin Ombudsman Program developed a new, coordinated set of informational materials for consumers. The brochure entitled When You Call the 800 Number (posted as a pdf file) provides a sample of these materials.
