Project Description:
On October 1, 2001, Ohio
implemented the Ombudsman Documentation & Information System for Ohio
(ODIS-Ohio).
ODIS-Ohio is a web-based system
with a centralized database residing on a server at the State Ombudsman office.
Regional and state staff use the system for contemporaneous documentation
of activities. The system has
several standard reports that are used for NORS, regional program reports to
their Area Agencies on Aging, program quality assurance, identification of
trends, outcome measurement, and advocacy.
ODIS allows us to track activities on particular issues, such as
legislation, for an easy review of practice.

documentation and increased efficiency are the major benefits of the system.
