Annual Spring Training

Quality Sooner Than Later, was the theme of the 18th Annual LTC State Ombudsman National Training Conference held April 9-12, 2005 in Oklahoma City, OK. State Ombudsmen from 30 states joined together to network, share best practices, and listen to national experts speak on issues related to long term care and ombudsman practice.

Conference Agenda

Carroll Estes Presentation - findings from research on effectiveness in local LTCOPs in two states.  Carroll Estes, Ph.D. is Professor of Sociology at the University of California, SF, and the founder and former director of the UCSF Institute for Health and Aging, School of Nursing.  She is well known for her research on the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and currently is studying local ombudsman program effectiveness.
