Texas State Ombudsman, Patty Ducayet, Interviewed on a Fort Worth Nursing Home Closure

Texas State Ombudsman, Patty Ducayet, was interviewed on a facility closure in Fort Worth due to safety issues and bankruptcy. The conflicting information and the short time frame residents have to pack up their belongings and move has made this closure particularly painful, said Patty Ducayet, the state’s long-term care ombudsman. “The timeframe was compressed because of decisions the facility made and care they failed to provide,” Ducayet said. “I hold them responsible for that.”
